Hi Guys
Now I was looking at Facebook something that has entered by stealth into the little gaps of time I have in my life and someone had written about some of the verse and poetry that I had written there. Now I am serious when I say that one of the few things I enjoy really doing, something I have done most of my life, something I may in the long lost past have considered as a, for want of a better word, career, is writing .
I find I can say things in verse I would not be able to express in any other medium. I write verse to individuals this verse is personal to them and me but I like to think that my verse will be read by and enjoyed by a wider audience. I know however that my words can and will be seen and enjoyed or seen and criticised and it is for this reason I do not try my hand at publishing the little odes that I write.
I HATE RECEIVING CRITICISM OF ANY KIND (good, bad or indifferent) and I GET HIGHLY EMBARRASSED AT RECEIVING PRAISE.
That said If you have read any of my scrawlings elsewhere and found yourselves moved then that is all I could wish for.
WORDS
Words keep us in a state of flux.
Without words movement would cease.
Movement of the mind,
movement of the soul.
Words give us history,
Words give us future,
Words do what painting does not
Words capture the flow of time.
