December’s Festive Fun
All-In-All I have had a great December although my Shadowrun character has not. She is currently the guest of some rather interesting Cockroach Spirits in the shaft of an old nuclear missile silo. Now our Shadowrun GM is not as forgiving as I am and thas good because I am one of those annoying players who sulks, rants, pouts and generally whines if things are not going according to plan. (I should qualify that by saying that it is all meant to be good natured in the spirit of having fun.) The point being that I got myself in that predicament and well deserved it was too. The problem for the rest of the party is that they now have to either spring me from the clutches of the vile cockroachs or let me become one of them.
Now you may be wondering why I have opened the December game write up with a game I am not running. The simple answer is that I have not run one myself during the solstice month as the pressures on my time have been somewhat grave. Also I have not been able to get to my computer, literally, the room it resides in is full of stuff and I have no way to get to the computer as it is barricaded with cases, boxes and crates, This has meant that our investigators have been left standing outside a seedy dance hall in the freezing cold waiting for some answers, to them I apologise and ask them to read on as later in this post will be a run down of where everyone is at present.
As to the rest of you I hope that you all enjoyed Christmas and are looking forward to a blissful New Year. I did not send any Christmas cards and I have not replied to any texts although I received them - and to their senders I make a blanket apology and wished you all a Very Merry Christmas, I also offer thanks for those texts and the cards I received. That, is as I like to call it the Seasonal Admin completed. Games admin next - January 20th 2007 will see the beginning of a week of gaming starting with Shadowrun at JW’s. During the week will be more gaming, board games and cards of various descriptions. On Saturday the 27th at the usual venue will be an evening of Hackmaster, this will be the last Hackmaster this year as, from February, we will see a welcome return of Conan after a year long absence.
To the Plymouth Contingent I am preparing the dates for the year so if anyone has a particular weekend they wish to play let me know, we have 11 months to fill and we have two games going on each month so you should all be able to make one at least. Conan and Shadowrun, Sci-Fi and Fantasy, sword and sorcery it just makes for a quicker year knowing that I will be gaming so often. I feel we should at this juncture wish Jon and Terry our best wishes as they had a daughter just before Christmas. I think this is a great piece of news and The Chronicle would like to add its good wishes to both of them.

As Snow and Raven meet on the cold forbidding corner they realise that the dance club is in fact nothing of the sort. The Topless Agogo is in fact closed and being refurbished the hoardings outside inform the reader that a new clothes boutique is soon to open up. The only people that can be seen through the plate glass shop front are a couple of workmen in dun brown boilersuits preparing the wooden floor for varnishing. A closer look at one of the strippers (boys and girls your minds - Honestly!!) will show that she is a shapely redhead and appears to be the foreman.
Doug and William arrive just as your portable comms gear issues a general alert to not return to the agency until told to. With this warning the air shimmers and the rest of your training squad appears out of nowhere.
